X3 chip off, hd/lan led still blinking ?

I have X2.6lite and X3.

I have 1.6 installed with X2.6Lite when the chip is disabled , only the on/off led is on(red color), other leds is OFF no hd/lan led blinking. but I have X3 in v1.4 when i disable it, the hd/lan led still blinking.. is it normal? and the X3 is really disabled?

yes, its disabled. the points are directly connected to the leds, so they will function regardless of the chip being enabled or disabled.

Well sry for a long post. but this is ma first one.Plz bear. i dnt hav x360 but will b gettin soon.I live in india,so have no idea wat dvd drive will b my x360 havin when i buy it in USA.I will buy it thro ebay.(second hand)I m pretty sure that it will b a liteon. Basically i know a bit abt flashing through these forms. But m a bit confused.As per my knowledge i need Xecuter CK3 pro/lite(have 2 decide)+probe V1.And a VIA 6421 card( from [email protected]$).Will this be enuf.What d heck is LT switch and probe V2.Probe V2 sounds to b a better version of v1.But does it have ny oder qualities.Like is it required for sum kind of liteon version.Plz help me.Will these 3 things b enuf.N i have M1330 laptop,can i use it to burn DL x360 games on it.Its a matshita drive i think.Plz help me out guys.Ya n i have NO XPERIENCE IN SOLDERING>I CANT SOLDER .Ny help will be seriously considered!

hi, im frm india too,
if ur planning to buy an xbox 360 ,
it most probably be a liteon if its a jasper chipset.

other drives are easy to flash ,but liteons require a different method,

so once u get ur xbox , open it up and find the firmware version written on the dvd drive(a sticker),

1) for FW 7xxxx -> Use a ck3 lite/pro with probe v1
2)for FW 8xxxx V1 -> No Probe Needed
3) FW 8xxxx v2 -> probe 2 + pro/lite ck3
4)FW 9xxxx -> Same As Above

if u cant solder , buy the probe v2 or probe v1 with the conductive glue.
Then Follow Jungle Flasher Tutorial(google it)
u can buy it from modtraders.co.uk (They ship worldwide) or go to www.team-xecuter.com and click on where to buy on top and click on any worldwide shippers.....

since ur doing it on ur lappy im not sure if a 6421 would work on it....well if u look at the motherboard , if it has sata , it would most probably work without 6421.

Thnx dude.Alas sumone replied.Kudos.BTW i will not flash it using my laptop.I just asked whether my laptop be used to burn games.Flashing will b done thro desktop..BTW can liteon FW8xxxx V1 b flashed widout probe.I mean how will u get the key then.BTW whats a conductive glue .Is it necessary.I will just insert probe into R707 and get d key.So where do i need d glue.Plz help.M a nubie!

Well that was an excellent guide.So i hav come across sum conclusions.I think that d purpose of CK3 is just to power on the drive,and the probe is to extract the key.If that is so,then theres a method(tricky as per guide) to power on x360 dvd drive with x360 itself.So cudnt i just save money by not gettin a CK3.However for that probe thing,i saw a USB probe on ebay for lil cheap.Wudnt that b enuf. And i think dat VIA6421 card is necessary.Cud sumbody plz tell whats the purpose of via6421 card.BTW i didnt find nything abt connections.Plz tell me abt connections

conductive glue is an alternative to solder...if u look at solder u will actually have to heat it to join wires...etc...
u just have to apply conductive glue between 2 wires and it works like solder....it conducts!

the purpose of it is to clean up the cuts on the circuit board once you flash ur drive...if u have bad soldering experience just apply the glue at the cuts on the circuit board....and voila ur drive is as good as new....

the probe 1 is used for 7xxxx series...
the probe 2 is used for 9xxxx and 8xxxx v2 series and also is backward compatible with the 7xxxx liteons....
because the 9xxxx and 8xxxx v2 is a bit different....8xxxxv1 is similar to benq...read jungle flasher tutorial for more info...

btw not to hijack ur thread...
i have a question about ck3 pro...
do we need the usb/rs232 to extract key only for 7xxxx or for all others also?

Hey dude i think i wont use d glue then, coz i will get the older jaspers off d ebay(i mean 7xxxx and 8xxxxx V1). But in ya case u will need d glue as u hav to make cuts on pcb(for 9xxxx n 8xxxx V2 drives).BTW i believe rs232 is a probe.So yes u need probe for 7xxxxx,8xxxxx V2 and 9xxxxxx(which u have)no add Hw for 8xxxxx V1.Hey ,but u already told me abt the use of probe with respective drives.SO watz ya question.

Help nybody.I still dont understand how to connect the 6421 card,ck3,probe,pc.Btw still ma old question.Is CK3 required only to power up the drive.Then i m better off buying only usb probe n via6421.
