X3 chip on 1.0 box bios-3.03,flash not stick

I have installed an X3 chip on my 1.0 box . Read the Xecutor tutorial on how to flash the chip. Used a CD flash approach, went thru menu, able to flash(v3.03) the chip(or so I thought). Once the chip was flashed, the Xbox automatically turned off, I turned it back on, by holding the start button a few seconds, and everthing looks the same on the screen, it has the Original "Xbox" boot-up, and not the "Xecutor Rocks my Box" message. When I hold the start buttot quickly, I get the same cromwell screen with the choices on how to flash, etc. My asumptions are that no flas has occurred.
Have done the following.
Bank
1024 (loaded each bank with 256k)
front bank switches
OnOffOffOff
OnOnOffOff

I may be missing something basic, this is all new to me. Flash seems to be working but doesn't. The flash flasd CD is read.?????????????

did u flash it with the 3029 bios?

flashbios_v303, I downloaded the BIOS from the Xecuter web site.

I guess the keyword here is "hacked" bios. Was not doing that, dowloaded 3029...and it works!!! now my next step is the evox dashboard.
