X3 difficult

U know. Ive installed alot of mods from ps2 to xbox. Prolly 100 chips, tsops, etc alone for xbox. I pride my soildering skills I can solder SMD free hand with 15 watt iron. But for what ever reason The x3 with the rebuild on my 1.6 was the most nerve racking install I have ever done.

It works now, my first soldering job sucked. nothing would hold solder. man it just sucked. Anywho. I got it in and it works. and I feel good about it.

don't blame it on the X3, blame it on microsoft, you will have to do a LPC rebuild for any LPC based mod on a 1.6. it's rough, but hey it works

Don't blame anybody...if you're at all proud of your soldering skills then it should be cake...even the rebuild is pretty simple

I'd agree... I still haven't got my PS2 mod working correctly. Been collecting dust for quite some time now. I'm pretty pissed off at it still. It's not coming back out of the room till I'm good and ready to get mad again!

It was easy just nerve racking and I strongly belive it was a microsoft thing. Friggin solder wouldnt stick to anything same good quality solder Ive used for years. I did eventully get it but it was a pain in the ass. And the lpc rebuild is cool but I think the wire install for the lpc rebuild might be actully better. Maybe I was just having bad luck. Either way I love my x3 heh

lite-on flashing

hi all ive got a lite0n 7xxxxxx with ix 1.6 on it and i want to change the drive with another 7xxxxx can i just flash lt on like normal ?

well if you already got the info backed up onto your PC with the old liteon drive... you simply take that info and inject it into the new liteon but use iXtreme LT v1.1 when you flash the new one and your fine.

but why do you want to change to another Liteon? ... is the one you got dying or something.

yh still got ofw and yes this lite-on drive takes like a hour just to load a game

the new drive that ive got as got firmware on it off another xbox that dont matter does it

No that doesnt matter. Just flash the drive as normal with LT V1.1 and all should be good.
