X3 don't Flash

This is my 4th X3 install. This one ona 1.6B box. Have installed the chip, powered on, get two blue lights and the red unprotect light. Set bank switches to 1,2 on and rest to off. Nothing, does not go to Bios install. If I remove the switch panel and start, still does not go to Bios install screen.
Went to 3.0.3 once with switches set to off,on,off,on. tried to load bios 3294 from DVD disk, flashed about 1/4 of the way and stayed there for two hours so I shut the system off. Now I get nothing. Any ideas, thanks?

boot the backup bios ( power and eject )

Back-up bios will not work (3.01). Boot to bank 5 or 8, then change you're switches for bank 1234 and flash.

Not to up on the Bank switches. Usually I just put switches 1 & 2 in On position and everything works fine. How do I boot to bank 5 or 8. Also, tried to boot to Backup Bios. When I hold Power and Eject switches in, I get nothing. Thanks for the help.

Just set switches to 1=OFF, 2=ON, 3,4,5 OFF. When I power up, Chip lights up, all three leds, and blinks twice, Eject light blinks green twice, then the Eject light flashes green to red. Works fine if I boot to Microsoft.

Booting to back-up will not work for you, as you have a 1.6b and the back-up contains 3.01.

Boot to bank 5 or 8. Change switch settings to bank 1234, then flash.

If neither bank 5 or 8 work, then you may have get your chip reflashed in a non-1.6b box.

Have 2 -1.6 and 1- 1.0 Xboxes. So, I can put the chip in one of them and flash from their. Then return it to the 1.6B and it will (should) work. Thanks again.

Yes you can put your chip on any of them, set your switch to "on on off off off" and boot, you should be getting a flashbios 3.01 on this switch settings. But if not, boot from your back-up bios (power+eject button), no need to change the switch setting and flash the x3 bios. After flashing just put your chip back to your v1.6b xbox...

Stupid question, from what I've said, does it sound like I messed up the install ( the wiring).I used the Rebuild PCB, or is it possible the chip is bad. After doing 2 other regular 1.6 boxes, this one went so fast, no solder in the holes even. Is there something different in wiring for the 1.6B. I couldn't find anything in the threads I searched. Thanks.
