I have already posted on this topic, but I'm afraid not too many people are seeing it. So I'm not sure if this is the wrong place for this question or not, but here goes...
I flashed a new eeprom to my chip and forgot to change the hdd unlock code, so needless to say, I can't access the locked hdd, hence I can't do anything. I get an error code 6 (HDD error) everytime I try to boot (X3cl won't boot either).
So, I tried installing the stock hardrive and same result (I think it was locked when I removed it.
So here's my question...
I returned the hdd and will get a fresh (unlocked) one. If I install it, can I boot up to X3cl and get the hdd data for the new harddrive and just dump all the old stock xbox files on it (I have them backed up), then start from scratch installing dashboards etc.?
Again, sorry moderator if this is not the right forum, but I am desperate. I have searched around for other similar posts, but to no avail.
