lol i think its his monitor's color/birghtness or something because you cant miss the date at the bottom at all. Though i can understand with you reading it fast that you could miss it with the colors not contrasting much.gamersha794 said:

maybe boost your monitors contrast / brightness ?
try doing it from video card settings as opposed to monitor settings. My TFT was sh*t until i boosted vid card brightness / contrast - looks awseome now

Should I Keep This? New Refurbished Arcade with Zephyr
Just got a refurbished Arcade today, I was hoping to get a Jasper,
instead it looks like I got a Zephyr judging from the 16.5A label on the back and the shape of the outlet.
Disappointing since the manufacture date is 2008-10-22.
Does anyone know what was possibly done in the refurbishing process
and what that means for my chances of a RRoD in the near future?
Trying to decide if I want to keep this thing.
The only redeeming quality of this Zephyr is that is has a BenQ rather than a Lite-On. Easier flashing right?
Curious to know what others would do in my shoes.

Jasper is obviously the best one to have, but looking at the date of the console you can definatly flash it if u wanted to with no problems. I mean, if you wanted a Jasper, then why not buy a brand new 360 instead of a refurbished one? Then you havent gotta worry about whether it's gonna get the RROD, if I were to buy a 360 it would have to be brand new, can't trust 2nd hand ones or refurbs...
