Hi,
Just bought a brand new X3 thru Australia Xecuter store.(Not CE)
I have put into xbox V1.0 which had a previous X3 installed and working with no problems.
I made sure flash protect was off on chip, and showing as red on new control panel.
New chip booted straight to Flash bios 3.0.0
Inserted dvd with X3 bios 1957 and let it flash. I proceeded to about 20% thru the write process and stopped. Left it for a while and no go, had to turn off.
Rebooted using backup bios and tried again via http, now get error "Unknown Flash Halting", tried again via dvd and found same error.
I have searched this forum and found a few other people here with the same problem, and without resolution?
What is the best course of action?
Is there a bad batch of chips out there?
I hope there is enough info here to help, being a software developer, I also get pissed off when all available info is not given when asking for help
