Alright, I've read through a couple pages and the tutorials and have not found the answer to my problem. If this is a stupid question, please forgive me, flame away but post a helpful link if you can

This is my fifth mod, third with an x3, but first with a v1.6. I get to FlashBios 3.0.1 fine and attempt to flash via dvd. I'm trying to use bios 3108, the 1.6plus version, and have renamed it to bios.bin and burned it including the dummy file. Again, I have modded and flashed before. It detects the bios but then reads... Unknown flash! Halting
In the FlashBios tut it says this error means that the flash protection is on, but I know it is off. The switch settings are on,on,off,off,off and the switch on the chip is off. The x3ce makes this easy to tell as the led on the chip showing green means it is unprotected. So I'm wondering why this still won't flash. Do I need to use FlashBios 3.0.3 for a v1.6? Any other suggestions/input will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
