X3 flash screen

After installing X3 exactly how do you get to the flash screen? Is there supposed to be a game in the drive? Someone in another tutrial said to hold white button to boot up the chip... what white button?

Oh well, it boots to the regular xbox dash as if no chip is there which tells me there must be an installation error which is what I'll get on to now.
