X3 FlashBIOS won't boot - show only black screen

First of all, I am sorry if this has been covered in another post somewhere, but I searched for a half an hour and I could find nothing.

Okay, now for my problem. My friend and I ordered X3's and we have installed them. His boots fine, we flashed it and everything. Mine, however, is a different story.

When I power my Xbox (short press) a black screen appears with nothing on it, and the disc light turns amber. The external switch lights up blue as if it is working, but nothing else shows. When I boot into the backup (power + eject), I get the same black screen and the external switch is purple as it should be. However, the disc light turns green.

I've installed the LPC rebuild kit (we both have 1.6b XBoxes) and firmly soldered the D0 and the two other points on the underside of the motherboard. When I turn on the power, the blue LED on the chip lights. I can boot into the MS Dash without problems.

When you get the black screen, can you try pressing the eject button in 10 second intervals (for about 1 second at a time). Let me know if anything happens.

im having the same problem, the eject trick trying to force the Flashbios is not working, I have a 1.6b Box. I bough my X3 from SystemMods.com, the said it had Flashbios3.03 Do you think i could have gotten an older Flashbios?

I would try all three major banks:

Bank 1 1MB (on on off off off)
Bank 2 1MB (off on off off off)

Backup BIOS (power/eject).

i have the same problem bought it from system-mods, and have the blue screen i tried every single bank possible still nothing. I also tried the pressing eject button every 10 sec all that happens is the green light flashes and the blue hd light turns on for about 5 seconds thenthe eject lighht turns yellow, ive tried it about 10 time

I ended up hooking it up to another xbox version 1.3 I had ended up that it had flash bios version 3.01 so I updated it to flashbios 3.03. After all that hooked it back up to xbox version 1.6b and same result blank screen when enabled, xbox bios works perfectly blue light comes on when it should be enabled as flash bios 3.03 and still blank screen. Tried eject trick, different bios banks backup bios prom still same result I am stumped. :?:

Xbox v1.6b + X3

Am I correct in assuming that V1.6b needs bios version 3.03 preloaded?

and switch settings off on off off should be used?

Yes, you have to request the new v1.6b compatible flashbios.

prey tell - why didnt you just flash the X3 Bios on the v1.3 machine ??

also your chip from Divineo had BOTh FlashBIOS v3.01 AND FlashBIOS 3.03 - its flashed to different banks on the mod

I did flash the bios on the 1.3 machine to the flashbios version 3.03 that is why I cant figure out what is wrong.

Hey, i had this prob. you actually posted this while i was writing my own topic. Anyways I just fixed it about 5 mins ago, I just sat in front of my box and hit the power and eject buttons in weird combinations for about 15 mins. Flashbios finally came up, then i flashed it. once it was fashed the new bios comes up like it's supposed to (with a quick tap on the power button).

I had this problem right with the HD A/V Pack, then I switched to the SVideo A/V Pack and it was fine, I thought it was wierd but it solved the problem every time I tried it.

Xbox 360 Drive Help!!!PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Hello all.

i am deployed in iraq right now so it means i am limited to resources and my 360 drive wont work. I have a netbook with windows xp 32 and usb ports. My drive is a Phillips & Lite-on drive. i took it apart and it says HW ver A0A2 FW ver 83850C June 2009. So what can i do to fix it using a netbook and usb port? Can i order a diferent drive such a hitachi or samgsung? let me know. i am pretty good with computers but its my first time messing w. 360. tx.

I think it's just not working and he wants us to help him fix it? Your laser could be bad, or possibly your drive.. what does it say when you put a game in? Does it read dvd's?

it wont read dvd, laser wont move, but it turns on, tray gets stuch. i tried to remove the pcb board, but on my liteon there are 5 or 6 cables soldered to that board which 2 goes to the motor and the other 4 goes to the front of the tray. i dont want to flash the drive now since i dont have a desktop with me. i read if i get the pcb board out of the drive and put on another working dvd i dont need to get any keys from the drive. now my question it needs to be the same drive or caqn i buy a toshiba or hitachi?
