Re: Xbox 360 Drive Help!!!PLEASE HELP ME!!!

you can just buy a new liteon drive, and swap the PCB boards over from your original drive to the new replacement, as its the PCB board that stores the drive key for your console, you wont need to connect it to a computer or laptop, just unsolder the wires from your old drive's PCB board, remove the PCB from the replacement drive, and solder the original PCB onto the replacement drive wires, then your good to go

PPS

you can replace the original Liteon drive with any of the other models, but in doing that you would need to connect the original drive to a computer and use Jungleflasher to get the drive key from it for you to use it on another drive

good luck in Irag and keep up the good fight

Excuse me for just jumping in... I just ordered a Lite-on 7xx replacement... Now do I just erase the replacement drive and flash my dummy.bin info to it, then im I good to go? Or do I have to do the board swap thing? Thanks

To the original poster, good luck in Irag stay strong and thanks for your service.

you can do either

you may want to flash if you have to update information or don't like soldering

If your going to replace the drive with the same model, i would just get the drive key from the orignial drive that came with your console, and flash that firmware to the replacement, and leave the orginal firmware intact on the original drive without erasing it ( it other words keep it as stock )
