Ok so ive seen this a couple of times on the forums and was never answered and now those topics have been deleted so i thought I'd ask again. the problem i'm having is that when trying to flash any version of the x3 bios to either 1mb bank or the full 2mb bank it freezes halfway through the green bar.

I've tried flashing the bios from this topic http://www.teamxecuter.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=21384 and that fails to work on either 1mb bank (on on off off) or (off on off off) or 2mb bank (all off) but the strange thing is it will flash perfectly on a supposed 256k bank (on on on on) despite the fact that its a 1mb bios image, just for the heck of it i tried the x3 bios with this configuration and it froze at 25% as expected.

Flashing a 512k bios to any 512k bank works fine and any 256k bios to any 256k bank also works perfectly (curently using evox m8 on bank 1 (on on on on) ). So why for any reason would it only fail on a 1mb bios?

Also ive tried unpluging the switch panel directly from the board and still the same results.

Any help or general info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having exactly the same problem. One additional bit of info: on the first 1Mb bank the green bar freezes halfway through, just like DarkOracle described.

However, on the second 1Mb bank the orange bar gets almost to 100% and then stops and the screen says "programming error: the value at 0x26 is..." and the rest of the error is off the right edge of the screen. This happens consistently.

I'm in the process of trying to return the chip since it is apparently bad, but I'm curious what the orange and green bars indicate. One post on here said the orange is erasing the bank and the green is the actual write, but why would there be a "programming error" while erasing the bank? I'm not sure that info was correct...

What version of XBC do you use?

Looking at some forum post about Xbox Backup Creator 2.9 shows a large number of people having issues with it who were previously fine using 2.8 and/or 2.7.

Was that just the usual teething problems and everything is sorted now or should one be wary of it?

I know its rather late but only found out today that 2.9 had been released and from searching something completely unrelated (you know how it is).

Thanks
