X3 Frag - 08/24 manufactire - poss 1.6b, help please

Hi all.

Bought a crystal box and x3 chip.

Fitted chip in both wire install and pin install modes with same effect.

When i turn it on the Blue X3 light flashes and fan stop starts a couple of times then the XBox Frags and does nowt else.

I have tried other chips, ie a mate's X3 and all his wires, no change. I am thinking Xbox problem but may be 1.6B related.

Anyone got any help to offer please?

Most probable cause, your FlashBIOS is probably the v3.0.0 rather than the newer (and v1.6b compatible) v3.0.3.

Either download it and update it yourself, or take it back to your reseller for an easier way of updating the chip.
