Seems like about 90% of people have this problem. It's your soldering. check it and redo it. VERY COMMON QUESTION

no need for the triple post :D

Thinking of buying an Xbox for the first time.

I am thinking about buying an 360 for the first time. I was looking on ebay, and I am sure most people do not like Ebay, but I have always had good experiences with it.

Some I have seen come without a hard drive. Do I really need a hard drive, can I just use a memory card to save games? Also, is there a certain type of brick that goes with a certain unit. What type of wattage should the brick be? Some have already been flashed so will any flash play any of my back up games, or is there a certain flash I should be looking for? I do not care at all about playing on Xbox live. In my area all I can get is crappy dial up. Thanks for any info.

You have to becareful buying now a days because with the massive Ban Hammer that hit alot of people who hacked their 360's you will find alot are selling there systems on ebay and such....so if you buy one it might not work on live because the console was banned...so it could be a costly mistake for you....you can get an arcade version at walmart for around 100$ now a days...just buy a new one less hassle..

Yah I dont know about 100, more like 190 ish. Also, I would recommend getting at least a 60gb hard drive to go along with the arcade. Never buy on ebay for at least xbox 360s. I know a lot of people who just do a shoddy repairs on the console and then sell them. Then, after a week it breaks and your stuck with it. In my opinion, it is always a good idea to buy new with electronics. Thats my 2 cents.

P.S. Has anyone saw Ironman 2 yet. I am wondering if it is worth the money?

Re: Thinking of buying an Xbox for the first time.

Same with the guys above. You will want a HDD for playing Xbox Originals or getting DLC for games you like (You don't have to play online, but you can at least expand your game play by buying stuff on marketplace). A lot of Xbox's are f***ed up on eBay. And if you buy a flashed one, make sure it's LT 1.1 (I use 1.41 NonStealth for Benq), or else newer games won't boot due to the security checks and that will also get you banned. Honestly buy a new Xbox and flash it. It only costs $25 for the Via Raid chip. But, you may also want to get the CK3 add on, so look that up too.

Damn, I bought my via raid card 2 years ago and back then they used to be more expensive. Your right that $25 is a rip off today.
