OK, I think I made a mistake! My Xbox (X3) got banned from XBL. My friend has a modded Xbox (old X 2.0 or something) and he has never been on XBL. So, I got ConfigMagic Final and saved the BACKUP info from his Xbox. It saved the file as EEPROMBackup.bin. I then went to my Xbox into Config Live. I DID NOT UNLOCK my hard drive. I went to EEPROM settings and did a backup. I ftped into my Xbox in the Admin folder and took a copy of my eeprom.bin to have a backup. I then just simply renamed that old EEPROMBackup.bin to eeprom.bin. I replaced it in the Admin folder and it promted on the screen, really replace eeprom info? I selected Yes. I then did a Cold Reboot and with the Xbox Modchip ON still it gave me an error 6! HOW DO I RECOVER! I know I screwed up real bad. Do I need to somehow unlock my HDD? Is that the problem or is the new eeprom.bin from my friend's Xbox expecting his HDD? PLEASE HELP! Tell me what I did wrong.

I think I'm going to have to put my friend's hard drive that the eeprom came from on my Xbox long enough for my to get into Config Live to RESTORE the original eeprom that I have on my laptop. Then I can access my HDD for my xbox. Basically, my eeprom is messed up but I hope I can fix it! I am going to use ConfigMagic Final if/when I get this thing fixed! Any suggestions would be awesome!

If you still have a backup of both eeproms you will be ok. You need to unlock your hdd using your original eeprom, then re-lock it using the new eeprom, you are getting error 6 because the xbox cant unlock the hdd cause it is using the new eeprom with the new key. Grab hdlock and use the unlock function with the original eeprom. then lock it using the new eeprom. You should then have a fully working xbox, with the chip on and off....good luck

Need an Experts Advice..

Hi all, I have a serious problem and it gets technical.
I have a 360 that doesnt power on, "at all" No lights, Power Unit stays orange etc, I have tried Everything basic. Nothing will get this to load any light. I have also replaced then Front power button Board.
So I did a test on Every capacitor inside the 360. All are good. I tested by self, then I did a scan of a working 360 capacitor and compaired. All are the same except 1. The working Xbox shows "0.02" using a 20k ohm meter.
The Non booting xbox shows "0.17" ohm.. Is this a problem?
This is my last option. I have tested Absoluly everything to get this 360 load, Nothing is working. Thanks in advance
