We are happy to see others have picked up on some of our current work with pixel graphic displays, however we can assure you that our (NO SOLDER) version won't be as mind numbingly slow and a hell of a lot cheaper too.
Regarding the X3 Control Panel the factory tells me that they have made a couple of adjustments to the mould so that the users who have bought the X3LCD seperatley can also buy a version of the X3CP without the LCD screen and easily install it themselves. We hope to be shipping out this month, a little over schedule but since when have we been on time with anything ?
will this x3 graphic lcd fit in the same control panel of is there going to be a different one released. cuz i was thinking about buy the X3CP now and getting the graphic lcd when it comes out?

probably - that will be the goal. however we may do a new version of the x3cp in future to include more stuff - we are in the business of continual improvement and change.

could you put like 1000 LEDs on the front too so they beam in my eyeballs when i am watching a movie? that would be AWESOME!

/sarcasm

I guess i dont really see the point of a graphical LCD, but hey if it ups the geek factor and sticks it to xodus, bring it on. I'm sure you will sell a ton of them.

yeah there are two usb ports but i mean they need a(for lack of words i can think of) chip and pcb that translates the commands to xbox commands like the smartjoy. and maybe ports for ps/2(not the console playstation2)

You understand that the Xbox controller parts ARE just modified USB ports right? If you want PS/2 adapters thats a different story - but most devices are USB these days anyway, and console games are designed to be played from a joypad, not from a mouse/keyboard so is the benefit really that great for gaming?

Obviously you don't play many FPS on your PC cause i can tell you halo would be a whole different experience with a keyboard mouse control method

yes i do understand that the controllers do usb but that doesnt mean that i can plug in a usb mouse and keyboard and start playing games(using a usb to xbox cable since they are the same connectors).

Heh, ironically it almost does already.

I've grown used to it now but when I first powered on my newly modded Xbox with the stock control panel that damned blue HDD light nearly burnt out my retinas, and for I while I was worried it might be distracting while trying to play games & watch movies etc. :)
