X3 + HD44780 LCD?!? Doesn't work.... :(

Hi There

I've just installed my new X3 and it works fine...except my HD44780 compatible LCD Ive soldered it correctly to the solder Pads on the X3..i also tried to connect the first or the last 4 Data bits. And whats happening? The LCD is glowing, but there isn't any Text in it. I've enabled it in X3 Live and for sure in the XBMC and Avalaunch. I've played around with the contrast poti and there's no success. Can someone tell me what to do?!? I can't use the XLCD because it's to big for my XBCase housing.

Avoid Getting Banned

Hi,

i brought a xbox 360 from ebay awhile ago which was pre-modded with iextreme 1.6 (lite-on) drive...jasper model.

i connect to xbox live for sky player only and dont play games online.

what is the best method at the moment i can do to avoid getting banned? do i need to update to latest firmware? can i put original firmware back on drive? as i dont really backups.

You can never REALLY avoid getting banned, but you can help your chances by NOT playing and backups on your 360 till you get the firmware updated from 1.6 to the New LT+

If I where you I would get another console and have a Legit and a modded one.

If you don`t use the flashed drive for game backups then the best thing to do is flash it with stock firmware.

Reverting back to the original firmware is like re-flashing it but instead of the CFW you will use the OFW.

CFW=Custom Firmware
OFW=Original Firmware

wrong its a liteon drive you will have to get your original dummy.bin then dl the original dump from your corrisponding drive from xbins etc then spoof your key to the original fw

also i have a cd with files on it called backup so im assuming these are the dummy.bin keys.

Use the JungleFlash TUT it's great for beginners and watch vids from YouTube it's all out there mate you just have to search for it.

Hi.

ok i have been looking around and i need to find the original firmware for my lite-on DG-16D2S drive.

i have the key.bin, inquiry.bin, identify.bin, and dummy.bin are any of them the original firmware? if not where can i get?

There is no way to be sure except by loading them into jungleflasher. Once loaded it will tell you if it is stock or iextreme. Be sure to spoof a drive first and test before you erase your main dvd drive.
