I have a 1.6 version X-box, I think. how can you tell if it is version 1.6 or 1.6B? I have installed the X3 chip. I think I have screwed the chip up. the first time I turned it on it booted to the 3.0.1 bios screen. I had a friends disc to flash it to the X3 3294 bios with the switches set to ON ON OFF OFF OFF. everything went fine, but now when I try to boot it up it cycles the power on and off a few times and then FRAGS. I am able to get back to the bios 3.0.1 by pressing the start and eject buttons at the same time. is this because I flashed it with the 3294 bios and not the 3294 v16 PLUS? I cannot get it to boot to the 3.0.3 version with the settings on OFF ON OFF OFF OFF? did I screw the chip up or can I fix it by flashing the correct bios? I hope this makes sense.
