X3 in a V1.0 xbox

Do you guys know if there is hope for my xbox? I installed the flashbios 3.0.3 but once it finishes the updating it just shut down my xbox. I can turn it on but I can't play any of my backed up games. any suggestions, tips or help that you anyone can give me... it's so fustration... I've been up half the night trying to read and figure things out... help me please.

did you install a dashboard? You need 2 things to get everything working. You need a BIOS and a dashboard. Look here (www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xbins.php) for info on where to find them. Get the X3 1959 or higher bios and download avalaunch (which is a dashboard). Use the X3 FTP thing to transfer the avalaunch files in after you flash the chip with the bios. Hope that helps. if you are using your x3 to play games only then use evox

if its a bit more advanced try unleashx and for movies etc use xbmc (xbox media centre)

thanks, I think I got the bios up... what about that dashboard when and where do I install that? or is that in one install disk?

please go to http://home.comcast.net/~x3guide/ for all of you questions. this is a really good place for a noob refrence guide.

After reading that, you will find out that you need a bios. Considering your xbox is a v1.0. then you should use x3 1959 bios.

Then after installing your bios successfully. You should use slayer's autoinstaller to install all of your apps and dashboards. this tool is very nice! it will format and install ALL the most usesfull apps for you. So it is totally noob friendly. If I remember correctly, you can go to http://slayers-xbox-scen.com to get the installer. (i think that is right, but i cannot remember). If that link fails, then use google to find it or search for slayers autoinstaller within xbox-scene.com
