x3 install help

i have put alot of mod chips in xbox ps2 and even gamecube
this is the first one that i can not hget to work i have a 1.6 and using the x3 the light on the front panel is always red no matter what switches are on this is my first 1.6 im using the rebuld pcb dont know if im doing somthing wrong or what need help the x light always stays red and the power eject light flashes orange and green if i turn all the switches off the origial bios loads.
what switches are supposed to be on when you first boot this chip.

Few options for you:

1. Hold Power+Eject for a few sections, to boot into backup (Purple light on switch), but im guessing that will not work for you.

2. Take out the power lead, open your Xbox and take out the DVD + HD, keep them wired (a little re-arrangement), plug the Xbox back in (don't touch anything while turned on, particularly the heatsink area). Now there should be 1 red light, and 2 blue LED's lit (red=protected/unprotected, blue1=5v, blue 2=3.3v).

If either of the blue LED's arent lit then check pin 15 (see install guide) and the red 5v solder joint, check all is plugged in correctly and retry.

MAKE SURE ITS UNPLUGGED, BEFORE TOUCHING ANYTHING INTERNALLY!

Dont forget, you'll only have a RED LED on the X3 if you have the CE version !!!
