X3 install on 1.6 LPC Pinout voltage question...

I've done the 1.6 rebuild. I've looked at the LPC pinout voltage diag and I've been going over everything with a multimeter. All my points check out with that on the diagram except for pin 9 (3.3 volts) and pin 3 (LFRAME 3.3volts?) I've desoldered and re-soldered those pins 5 times now and I still get the same situation. Mod is doing the power up/down/up/down thing.

Here are my questions... is there somewhere else on the motherboard that I can hardwire these pin headers to to get the same results? I'm getting continuity through the pins but I guess I'm not getting a connection at the joint. Can I jump off of one of the other 3.3 volt pins that I have working? Is there something else I should be looking at other than these two connections? I know my d0 connection is working as I get 3.3 from it touching my multimeter to the metal piece in the plug where it's coming from...

Just so it's out there. I've got both blue led's on the chip. Short button push and the mod powers on/off/on etc and stays red. Long push mod stays red but doesn't power on/off/on just stays on.

Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks.

I experience the same problem. I didn't do the soldering myself, but had help from a skilled solderer. As far as I can see, The soldering is done by the book.

I've got a brand new crystal xbox, and as far as I'm able to see, it's a 1.6

When powering on, it goes up and down two times, then stays on, flashing like a xmas three, hd led is on and the xecutor logo is red.

I'll get my solderer to have a look and measure the soldering, but if there is any trick I can do to try to solve this by myself, I would appreciate it.

No it wont boot into backup. If I go by this diag:

http://www.teamxecuter.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=19148

And the tutorial over at xbox scene on the LPC header voltages I should be getting 3.3 our of pin 9 and the LFRAME pin 3. But since it's not clearly stated anywhere if that's true for the v1.6 version I'm kinda speculating. I'm guessing it's one of those pins as the rest come back with voltages that correspond to the url above. Gonna try to figure out if there is some other point on top of the board to solder the pins too on the top of the board where I plug in the mod chip. I would just hardwire it to another pin but I'm not sure if those specific pins are getting signals other than voltage when powered up or not.... Anyway any help is apreiciated. Thank.

I've got it working finally... I remetered everything and found my d0 point was sporadic not holding 3.3v all the time. I re-soldered the rerebuild for that pin and bingo... mod works... whew... only took 6hrs of rechecking everything but I guess the result will make it satisfying :)
