Hi Guys.. I have a crystal xbox 1.6 ( I don't know if its 1.6b?) anyway
I amd doing the pin header install for the X3 http://www.teamxecuter.com/x3/tutorials/x3pin16.htm

and on boot it continues to go to the MS bios..
The front switch panel is dead and I only get one light on the chip.

For starteters I'm guessing that its a solderinging issue.. but I have check and resoldered the pin headers at least three times..? Can someone please assist ..

I take it I need to get the 3.3v led light up first.. which pin of the LPC powers it?

Any help appreciated..

Last night I had the same problem. It was a D0 problem for me. I resoldered my D0 connections and it fixed that problem. Dunno if its your problem or not. Just an FYI

bjt63, i had this same problem. except my xbox wasnt a 1.6, it was a 1.4...but anyway, my problem was that the external switch was causing a short because it was faulty. are you sure its plugged in ALL the way?

i unplugged the sxternal mod and it worked like a charm.

the lpc pinds are 15 and 9 that give out a 3.3v.

bjt63 u have to burn a wire fron pin 9 to pin 15...and also check if all the pinheader pins r all at the same height/level so 3.3v is properly connected...did u also solder n attach the 5v connecter as well?...check these...good luck :D

the instructions dont' show the 5v wire plugged for the 1.6, but it does need to be connected to the X3. Also, be sure you pulled pin #6 from the pin header. One last thing, if you're new to this soldering thing, you may have to look really close or with a magnifying glass to make sure you didn't accidently use too much soldering lead on the tiny points.

Thanks for your help guys..

But I am still no further advanced
- yes I have resoldered the D0 connection ( about three times now )
- I have tried a jumper from 9 to 15
- yes i have pulled pin 6 as in the instructions and yes I have used the alter 5v line ( red wire in the instrcutions) I know this works cause if I pull it the one blue light on the chip goes off so I am getting 5V to the chip.
- I have also disconnected the external switch and its still no go

I have some exerpeience with soldering and I inspected all the points with a mangnifying glass I can see no shorts etc between joints..

Any other suggestions?

my last guess would be that the LPC rebuild was done wrong...I dont think that would have to do with a 3.3v connection, BUT you seem to be running out of ideas here...My only 2 ideas now would be resoldering (i know, i know...'but i already did blah blah blah') but do it again. it won't hurt...unless you're really bad at it.....uh.....*ahem* ANYWAY, or try the LPC rebuild again...I'm sorry i can't give any other advice..good luck.

Help Flashing To LT

2day i am going to flash my liteon 83850C V1 drive to LT.. So, thought i could get some help from you guys :) I previously flashed to IX1.61

I got my drive's original dummy.bin, Inquiry.bin, Identify.bin, Serial.bin and Key.bin...

Now should i again repeat the "Obtaining Dummy.bin" process or i can directly flash the drive to original liteon firmware for updating?

Steps :

1. Open source firmware - select dummy.bin (that i extracted previously when flashing to IX1.61)
2. Open target firmware - Select original firmware from LT folder
3. Manual Spoofing
4. liteon erase
5. write
6. Outro / ATA Reset
7. Update the console from USB stick.

8. Flash to LT (same step except selecting IX LT firmware as target) :)
Am i right? Or iam missing something? Anything else tat i should take care off? Plz help me.

TY
