X3 install using Wire Install Adapter?

I have an Xbox 1.6b and have installed the X3 using the default method. Everything works according to plan including the black screen because the bios on the chip is not 3.03. I do have access to an 1.1 Xbox. Other than the Wire Install Adapter what would I need in order to get the X3 running in the 1.1 Xbox so I can flash it?

Is the reset/ejector adapter required?
Do i need the D0/Lan/HD wires to be soldered?

you'd need the wire harness as well as the LAN/HDD/D0 wire (you wouldn't have to solder in the HDD and LAN LED wires, just the D0.

Jungle Flasher crashing on startup!

hi guys any help would be greatly appreciated, I have recently flashed my xbox and am trying now to do my mates exactly the same drive its a liteon 74850c drive and using jungle flasher when i start jungle flasher the program just crashes? any help would be great!

Are you using an VIA chipset?

hi, yes I am Ive installed the drivers on the Via Raid V530C package and then diabled the driver and deleted the Viam raid driver in Windows drivers but it just freezes?

thanks braveheart, problem I'm having though is when the drivers are installed I can load up jungle flasher no problem but when they aren't installed and have followed the tut to the letter making sure I have a yellow ! next to the raid card the jungle flasher crashes on startup!! can you please advise anything else I can try as I can easily get the key from Jungle flasher with the drivers installed but daren't erase it incase it crashes! please help me Im pulling my hair out with this one as im so tempted to hit the erase but just dont want to regret it! thanks guys.

even with the drivers installed though?? to clarify its a liteon drive. as without the drivers installed it just wont open without crashing??

are you deffo using the correct port on the card? ie the internal one nearest the front of pc

failing that set all the "Do" settings in registry to 0
look in tut for the registry entries! in advanced user functions

yeah definately using the correct port checked that from previous post there was a diagram so did that, you mean the driver registry?

guys really need some help now I've saved all the key.bin and everything like that but my computer wont even run now with the drive switched on!! it froze after I pressed erase and now is completely dead!! any advice would be great!!

Dont worry, your drive and PC are fine.

Proceed to erasing properly and writing the firmware on DOS/iPrep.

Brief instructions on what to do:

1. Use Jungleflasher to create your Lit-CFW.bin if you haven't already.
2. Create the bootable usb stick using iPrep.
3. Drag over the Lit-CFW.bin and a program called l-o-eras.exe (found on xbins) on to the root directory of the USB stick
4. Restart PC and boot using USB stick.
5. Type l-o-eras.exe <port number> with your drive switched on, keep doing so until you get a status of FF72.
6. Power cycle drive and then type 'dosflash'
7. Select drive number.
8. Select 'W' for write.
9. Type in the firmware name 'Lit-CFW.bin'
10. Once finished turn off PC and drive.
11. Finished.
