x3 lcd control panel and bank selector help

I am a complete noob i just got my modded xbox yesterday it has x3 chip with the x3 front panel that has the lcd and the push button bank selector thing..

i am about to flash my bios with a 1024k file.. i dont know what buttons need to be pushed in to allow this to bank properly.. there are 4 buttons what sequence do i need for the correct banking please.

i have no clue where to start and the guide only shows the one for the normal selector not mine.. im really confused can i get some help please. i need baby step directions sorry

I'm a noob too. Just set up my X3CE with X3control panel last week. The banks that worked for me were:

Protect off (out)

Bank one and two in

Bank three and four out.

I think 1+2 or 3+4 are 1MB flash mems (?)

i think the bios is on but not sure...

I am trying to get evox dash onto my xbox so that I can ftp my hard drive contents to my computer to back up whats on there before i get my 200 giger going.

I am not sure if i have a bios on the chip or not yet here is what happens.

When i quickly press power it comes up to a X rocks your xbox thing and then a screen comes up says.

I have the protect button pushed in (green) and the 4 other buttons are all pushed out ( no color ) and the Xecuter logo is blue.

I have downloaded bios X3_3029 which i think is the newest bios but since my screen says build 3029 does that mean that bios is already done?

If i need to put the bios on there i am not sure what to do with the dip switch settings to get the bank to be 1024k so that i can load the 1024k bios.

after that i am not sure how to get the dash put on. I have EvolutionX Build 3935 the newest one. I downloaded Craxtion and did the .ini file ( i am connecting through a router) and i renamed the xdash thing to default.xbe and then used craxtion to make an image of the entire folder. Does it matter what the dummy file is? I used a 100mb video file and the image onto a maxell cd-r and the xbox wouldnt read it, i redid it onto a memorex cd-rw and it still wouldnt read it. I have the Samsung DVD drive and Version 1.6 xbox. I had a professional installer do the chip and front panel set.

Can someone please please help me!! I have tried this over and over and I dont know what to do, i have read tutorial after tutorial and now im severely confused!

If it would be easier to yahoo or aol message i can do that or hell ill even call you from my cell phone im just at my wits end.

one noob to another

I am quite new to this myself and have spent 5 hours each day for the last 3 days reading post after post..but i can say that i put in the x3 chip myself as well as doing the rebuild for the 1.6 i installed the pro switch and lcd screeen also...it was a task and i had some problems...had to go over solder joints a couple of time..but to answer part of you question...you chip has a bios on it...what you see is x3 live...which is the new bios that xecuter has for the x3 chip...as for the dashboard...im still reading up on that...im looking to determin how to get a dash board and how to send it to my xbox...i have a network with a router set up so i hope i can send it via my network..hope that help you in some way
