X3 Live Config Manual?

Hey everyone,

Just sucessfully modded my first xbox, I installed avalaunch and still have the origional xbox dash booting when the mod is disabled.

When I want to boot to Ava, I have to boot into the X3 Live Config, then select boot dashboard. Is there a way to juts go straight to the dashboard? And if so, will I be able to get back into the live config if I need to?

Also, is there a manual or faq/driections on the X3 Live Config Bios? I could not find one. (I might just be going blind, today has been nutz)

Yes choose boot to x3cl --> disable in customize x3bios. Then choose ava as your 1st priority in dashboard boot priority. To get x3cl hold the white button when starting your xbox.

Hmm i thought the menu system was pretty intuitive.

Thank you for your info. The X3 Menu is very intuitive, I am just being paranoid. I don't want to change an option that I cannot recover from. Spent too much time on this project

hello-- i've tried every combination of buttons to try to get back into my x3cl menu, but nothing is working. have you heard or had this happen to you?

also how can i get flash bios back on a F'd up flash (frag)

Flash bios doesn't come up when you press power and eject at the same time? If not, you may have flashed over it. If you can't get to it by holding the white button, you don't have a working bios on the bank you have selected. on on off off off for 1st 1mb bank off on off off off for 2nd 1mb bank. This is where you should have put your bios. Remember they are xbox specific, xxxx v16 bios are only used for v1.6 xboxes. If you put a 1.6 bios on a non 1.6 box you will screw it up and visa versa. The rest of the gang should chime in soon and they are more experienced than me and can help you more. You may need to hotswap your chip.

g$$$- thanks for reply, ive flashed on all the bioses, 5 work rest dont. what do you mean by hotswap chip?

Just put the latest bios on your chip, thats all you'll need for now.
Backup is accessed as g$$$ stated. Hold power and eject.
Hotswap is when you have a working x3 chip running in an open xbox, you get it ready to flash, and just before you push the button to start... you swap the chips. It then flashes your chip that previously could not access flashbios on it's own.
