I don't know how possible this would be, but maby instead of disabling xbox live, the X3 bios could tell it to look for the xbox live servers at a different IP, then someone might be able to make or find some sort of XBL server software to run at that IP address. That way people who have X3 chips would be able to connect to a sort of XBL system for free and not have to worry about being banned. That would be great so people wouldn't have to have an accessible computer to play online if they are banned from XBL or don't want to pay. This would also be great because using XBMC is annoying because you have to reset back to XBMC after the host quits. I doubt that it would happen, but it would be pretty cool. Maby team xecuter could make an alliance with smartx or something to make it happen.

I think what you're describing there is basically a perverted form of xbconnect (http://www.xbconnect.com). Either that or someone would need to 'borrow' the software that live runs on and install in on their own custom server.

In the x3 config there is a section that lists the IP's that the xbox uses to connect to xbox live. If thoes IP addresses in the BIOS were reconfiged to point to an other server that runs the xbox live server software, except with the banning part disabled, we would have a modders version of xbox live that we would be able to connect to without having to use a PC to tunnel the connection.

And how would they go around getting the software to run XBL and then to also connect to the server array that MS is running????!?!?

I think that they mean that it won't connect. But insted of having to use XBC or Xlink Kai. THe could use the built in XBL support some games have. Good idea, but won't flow well with microsoft.

Banned 360 to Banned 360

Searched everywhere, came up empty, so here we go:

My brother has 2 360's, one at his apt, one at his gf's apt. He plays a game at his apt, saves it to a memory card, and brings the game and the card to his gf's. Both drives are flashed. He is a strong candidate for already having a flag for banning on both 360's but doesn't want to go on live to find out. He tried streaming a file the other day, window popped up saying he has to download an update to play it. Well he wants to see if he can get the update but if he gets banned, it'll corrupt the save games. I've seen a million posts about going from a banned 360 to a non-banned one, but never banned to banned.

So the question is, if both systems get banned, do the save games work as if normal b/c its going from one banned system to another? or since its 2 different systems it doesn't matter b/c as long as 1 is banned its done. Is anyone in this situation? Thanks for the help guys

Re: Banned 360 to Banned 360

Doesn't matter if they are banned or unbanned, he won't be file swapping from a banned console to any other console.

I have 3 banned, 1 unbanned, and that his been my findings. He could consistently Hex edit his profile/game save.
