x3 mod v1.0 / xbox freezes after a few minutes.

Hey guys - thanks for the help in advance. I just installed the x3 mod on my xbox v1.0. All of a sudden I'm having a rather strange problem. After about five minutes of play when still using the regular xbox bios... the machine shuts down. Not completely but the eject/button light turns orange... all the led's on the x3 go to red, the hard drive and dvd spin-up, and the fan inside the box goes full speed. I can't turn the machine off or eject the disk. I basically have to either pull the power plug or wait about five minutes till the whole thing shuts down.

I have tried using both of the voltage settings to see if it might be a voltage issue. I followed the install guide perfectly and have quite a bit of experience soldering pcb boards, ic's, etc. I have the bios version 3.01, which I haven't been able to successfully flash yet, but that can wait for another post.

Please help... it sucks getting booted off Halo2 in the middle of clan play.

Solder?

Sounds to me like you may have a slight solder issue?? Maybe a splash or a bridged trace? Thats my best 2 cents on this one?? Sorry I cant help more....

I really am not thinking its a solder issue. Another weird thing... after I let it shutdown the first time (not pulling the power plug on it) the machine seems to work fine until I turn it off again. Then I have to go through the whole process over.
