x3 mod; x3 bios 1959; 300gb hdd

i put installed my new hard drive and let x3 1959 bios format, partition and lock the hard drive.

everything works ok i got my dash installed and dvd2xbox copies my games to F:\games - in file manager they show up perfect and they all play perfect

however when i login with FlashFXP, the F drive shows empty. im assuming the partition has to be a certain format/allocation tables. does anyone have any advice.

also - i want to have the factory dashboard on here so i can disable the mod, anyplace online that i can get it?

another also - [sorry]- ive read that the 1.6 cant be cleanly disabled for xbox live, is this true?

IP settings

Make sure that all of your IP address settings are correct in your xml file for avalaunch...Until I changed mine to match what was displayed on the screen for IP, I couldnt see alot of my files???...!!! When you see your IP address displayed, just match that up in the xml file in the network settings!! Hope this helps....

those settings could affect the FlashFXP on my laptop to see the F: drives contents? it shows all the partitions, and accesses the C and E but not F or G which the F is like 115g ad G is like 155g. also XBMC can see the F partition (games) but not the G where i have movies ripped.

I used dvd2xbox to rip a dvd into the HDD to test.

In XBMC you need to edit the xml for it to see the g:\ drive as follows:

I had the same issue last weekend, config live will see all my drives, evox will see them too but avalauch would not and flash Fxp could not see my G drive. I followed all instructions on how to upgrade a hdd had my settings on xml correct and enabled g partitions on the avalauch settings..So went back to config live made sure to go to the bios options and enabled LBA48 f: up to 137 and G: gets the rest then formatted my drive again...(making sure i backed up my drives first) and that fixed it! I did the same thing the first time around but have no clue what went wrong. as far as the original dash, didn't you back up your drives on your stock hdd? if not plug it back up and ftp your dash over to your computer and back to the new drive.

you could also get Slayer's install disk from the "usual places". It has the original M$ stuff on it too.

ok thanks guys i got it - it was in the xbmc.xml - lol. another question - why doesnt my xbmc visualizations work? When i go to turn them on, 2 lines appear saying XBOX Media Center 1.1.0 and then stay there, i press the button again and its back to the menu.

in the settings i get ?0? as the visual.lol avalaunch installed the xbmc for me. ive checked for updates, this is the latest.

Maybe ugly, but they could save your TV from burn in.
