X3 New Install V1.6 Mod Disabled Just Stops then restarts Help?!

I upgraded my X2.6 to a X3 and it works fine with the mod chip enabled but as soon as i disable the cip ie long press of power button of using the X3 config the xbox just restarts with the mod chip enabled.

I have checked my Xbox dash and it is original and untouched. I have put in a 40GB HDD aswell could this be the cause.

did you fit the x3 power eject board when you did install as well as all wiring

i have this similar problem.
i cannot disable it manually (press and hold the eject button for afew minutes), it just restarts with the x3 chip enabled, same as above.
but i noticed the "reboot with x3 mod disabled" option in the x3 config screen, but im too paranoid to use that option cuz if it does turn off the chip successfully, how do i enable it back?

have you allso got the powereject board hook up

just a three second hold on power button to dissable
