Far from here!
Wow, it is hard to tell because the pic is so big and out of focus. Did you check all of your soldering? What version is it?
What is the yellow wire?

gee, i wonder why it doesnt work when its already been fried and "repaired" with a yellow, non-stock wire, and had a trace on the right side burnt out and repaired, one would imagine that even if these "repairs" were successfull, a certain ammount of untold damage has been done to the chip's components which arent visible.

long story short, dont blame the chip, blame the retard that fried it.

You bought it with that wire there? : Bullshit
You bought it off someone (not official reseller) : Possible

putting it simply, the X3 IS NOT MEANT TO LOOK LIKE AN IRAQI BATTLEFIELD, the only way you can "touch metal" on it, is if you didnt real through the installation guides correctly, or if you were in a rush to put it in and didnt check everything, DO NOT BLAME THE CHIP OR ITS DESIGN for any and all problems caused by the end user, if you cant be arsed to install it right, or dont question the seller when you receive the chip and see it has multiple traces burnt, and wires holding it together, thats your own tough sh*t.
on a side note, its pretty ****ing obvious the duox will work, since you probably didnt massacre that one >_>

its my personal beleif that you ****ed up your x3 install, and couldnt fix it, thus decided to blame teamxecuter's chip/design on your own stupidity, enjoy your duo, everyone else here with an ounce of patience with installs, will enjoy our x2 and x3's, knowing we have the superior product in our machines.

who gives a sh*t ur a geek. I think ps2 is better speccialy with my crystal chip :D anyway thanks for the negative advice. Mr modchips is a fraudster he sent me out a chip that didnt work and blew up when connected to the xbox any other chip worked fine oh well looks like its time 2 buy a new one and sell that one somewhere. The design is pritty poor it was the first x3 batch so why have they made a x3 ce?? looks like they needed to change the sensitivity on the pcb. I have seen many people with the same problem as mine.

anyway no bad feelings its just its a waste of 40 pounds which cost them about 5 pounds 2 make!

a geek with a working xbox/modchip :)

the x3ce was made to help idiots like you, redesigning an already great modchip, just to help out the noobs, that's what's known as dedication.

You on the other hand, are a helpless noob.
mr modchips sent you that modchip with the burn marks on it? i doubt it.
you installed it wrong and fried the chip (im assuming you didnt cover your alt v5 pin), that's your fault, nobody elses.

as for "who gives a sh*t", you obviously do, for taking the time to make this thread.

doesnt take a genius to comprihend that an electronic device should not touch something metal.
