I just soldered an X3 on a 1.3 box using the pogo install. When i went to test it I booted just fine to chromwell. I tried this several times and was successfull each time. I then held in the power button to bypass the chip and boot to EEPROM with msdash. But it powers off and on twice and then frags. I tried to boot back into chromwell on the chip and now even that powers off and on twice then frags. I can't even get the damn thing to boot now either way without fragging.

I unplugged the chip, but still the same results. I am suspecting it has to be something to do with D0. But im not sure. Anyone seen this before?

THanks,

I re-soldered D0 and am very confident that i have a good connection. Solder looks great and not close to any other tracks. I have removed the chip completely trying to troubleshoot and I still get the same problem. The box is booting twice and fragging no matter what i do now.

I re-touched my LPC points. All of which look good. Since this is by far not my first xbox mod  I feel I am a pretty good solderer and the points all look excelent. D0 looks great.

The thing that I find strange is how It worked for about 4 or 5 test boots to chromwell when I first installed the chip. I then held the power button in to boot to M$DAsH. That is when I first had the problem with the box powereing on and off twice and then fragging. Its been doing that ever since, no matter what I try.

Any help or tips would be very very greatly appreciated.

THanks,
