X3 on 1.6, Soldering looks good, Xbox boots normally

Hey,

I got an X3 for Christmas and a second Xbox, and opted for a Pin Header Install. Now, I'm no Soldering master, but all the Points + Wires that need to be installed wherever they do all look good, and I've resoldered them all twice now... Any tips? Should I abandon the Pin Header and just do the Wire Install? Should I just keep resoldering those points till the damn X3 would seem to work (currently, the Xbox just boots normally and I don;t see any life on the Switch, except a red light on the X3 symbol that only shows as long as I hold down the power button)? Is there any way to check Continuity on the Pin Header points?

Thanks, a n00b.

check your d0 point again...

if you are using the rebuild pcb, i would suggest throw it away and proceed on a wire rebuild...

it turned to be better in many cases...

it doesn't matter which x3 you have they both have 2 blue lights which have to be on.
Yep i know i have both x3's (didn't word it well) guess i should have asked it straight out...

HunterX1 i've seen a few of the new CE's shipped with solder bridges on the back of the pwr/reset board (the one u plug the yellow wires into)

It may be woth peeling the sticky stuff off and checking the back of this for solder bridges.

Sorry not to have made it clearer, I have a plain X3 - not the CE.

So you're saying that there are lights on the modchip that may indicate activation status? Thanks, I'll go look at that...

And sorry to be a dumbass, but what does 'Rebuild PCB' mean?

Oh... That... Purple thing... Yeah, I got it, but nothing ever flagged it as important, so I didn't use it, so I just did the thing they show with the wires... Wait, is that required, or can you just solder the wires in like they show on the main tutorial?

And I checked the Blue LEDs thing. I'm not getting power to the 3.3v, apparently, which pisses me off, seeing as the damn Pin Header looks properly soldered in...

Furthermore, I didn't realize I had the option of using that, that... Purple thing, so I, uh, used wires from the Wire header

Yes, I am a dumbass, someone smack me now...

Now I don't feel so stupid for not using the LPC board on my first 1.6 mod ! I didn't even see the link in the tutorial to the page which explains the LPC board, so I just proceeded and manually soldered the wires. After my friend showed me the link to the LPC rebuild instructions, we tried it and it was 10 times easier than the manual soldering, especially for the one that connects directly under the pin header !
