X3 on 1.6b prob, no flashbios screen

i had a X3 in my 1.6b but had to remove it to give on my brother, i just removed the chip, not the wiring, no i just received a new X3, put it in and there is no flashbios screen,
on the external switch i only see a blue led

any idea ??

Try booting from a different bank. Flash Bios 3.01 wont work on v1.6b x-box. If it's a X3CE, it should Falsh Bios 3.03 and 3.01 on differnt banks.

well i know that, once i just plug in the X3 and i boot up the xbox, i should see a flashbios screen right ?
i just see the MS dash

nope. If you are seeing M$Dash, your chip isn't kicking in at all. Have got the switch panel installed? What colour is the "X"? Can you boot to Back-up Bios?

im having a problem similar to his, but i have an xbox 1.6 and an x3, but im getting a red light on my extrenal switch, everything else seems to be ok, but i cant get the flashbios to come up at all, i just get MS dash, it seems like you konw what this means, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. try tapping power very quickly or use eject to power the box up..u should get a blue X..if u cannot enable the x3 after trying this then check d0 point very carefully

Your first post says u had a blue led not a blue X...the HD Led is blue
do u get a blue X or a red X

if it is blue then u need to check all banks of your x3 to see if it has been shipped with flashbios versions in different banks..
to get backup bios boot by pressing pwr&eject together...u should get a purple X.

well the X is blue
now i managed to enter the backup bios by pressing eject+pwr i get flashbios 3.0.0
i used the same cd as before, he start flashing and at approx. 25% on the green bar it hangs and the powerled flashed orange

what can i do now ??

now i tried with bios 3209 , flash goes well, xbox turns off auto but after that i want to boot, pwrled is green but screen stays black, no dash at all

i'm getting crazy here

Are you using HDTV Cables, Try using Standard RGB Cables

if u had a flashbios screen...a successful flash and then a blank screen .... resolder pins 13 & 14..

They are the I2c bus and its only used with bios using config live. Thats why u get a screen from flashbios and not the X3 bios.

thats not the point either, i resolder everything but still the same
i will just wait till the other X3's come in, i am almost sure that the X3 is dead
