X3 on 1.6b problems - Orange light

I just installed X3 with LPC Rebuild board on xbox 1.6b. Both voltage lights work fine on x3. Front panel shows blue when quick power button, red when hold power button and purple for power / eject. I can hold power button, front light turns red and boots into MS dash normally and works fine. When i quick power for X3 bios, front x3 light turns blue but no display on screen. the eject button light stays a constant green for about 10 seconds then changes to a constant orange. no fraggin.

Not sure what the problem is as i've checked my solder points 13 times and they all test / look great.

anyone have this problem or know what the solution is?

search the forums and you'll hear a familar story... Mine is the same.... x3 with a 1.6b. Even xecuter says M$ changed something in the 1.6b which won't allow the chip to boot to the bios the the x3 came with. Sounds like there is a fix but from what I understand is you need a different xbox to flash your chip. Fun huh?

Great, no way to do so with current xbox? this blows.

try reading the 1.6b help forum on the main forum page, its farther down

you need to find someone to flash the new cromwell bios onto the chip, its a ram timing issue that makes it not work

so chances are all the soldering is great, its just that timing issue that screws it all up

Ok, finally got it working. the whole reason i got a new xbox was because the lan adapter on my old one crapped. anyways, installed x3 into old xbox and luckily the box still worked. flashed to new x3 bios and put back into new xbox. works like a champ.

A way to patch wave 5 and 6 games

I think i have found a way to stelth wave 5 and 6 games. without the mod file. Pm me if you want help. I will Post it soon.

ok well anyways it asks for a certains PFI and if you used the Wave Patcher 3,4,5,6 (from abgx360 or whatever it is called.) all you have to do is put is patch the wave 5 or 6 ISO. Then Patch the PFI most wave six game want the PFI_05C6C409.bin. then it should show all green. i did the same to The 40th Day and Bioshock 2 and it worked.
