did you remove pin 6 from the pin header?
I've also heard that you can screw the rebuild up and cause this same issue.

This is almost certainly the power/eject PCB. Take it out of the system and see if it turns on normally - chip will be on all the time.

If it DOES ... then take the sticky pad off the back and check for dodgy soldering.

Nope, any bridges on there between two solder points are almost certainly your problem. Sort them out and re-try it.

Good luck

so your sayin that any points on the back of this board should not be touching, cuase i have two that are, along the part where there are 9 points in a row,the wire harness that goes back to the motherboard, this 1st pin and 2nd pin are bridged, and the 8th and 9th are too

I dont believe so, but make a note, or take a photo and then suck a little solder away and clean them up - what do you have to lose !?

That's kinda scary. Why would an Xecuter product be messed up like that?...... Is he talking about the Enable/Disable adapter?

There seems to be a few of these around. Most suppliers will replace them, though.

My main XBOX has a problem one that I haven't bothered to fix. To Enable / Disable the chip, I just have to turn it on and off quickly several times until it changes Enabled / Disabled.

Not really a problem, so I haven't bothered with it.
