X3 on a 1.6b

Yea, you can't boot up the v3.00 on a 1.6B xbox. You can only boot the chip with the v3.03. And none of the freaking retailers for the US/CANADA area are willing to reflash with the v3.03, eventhough Xecuter sais they are, they aren't.halo24uk04 said:why don't you jus' flash it yourself??

I have yet to find one that will.. So saying all resellers will do it if asked is a BS statement !!! So if you have a 1.6B box or think you do I would stay away from the X3 unless you can 100% confirm it has 3.0.3 of have a way to hot swap flash it.

Xecuter has stated that you should tell them to flash your chip. If they still don't do it, never buy stuff from them again.
Ask another retailer if they can do it for you for the very reason that you would become a active customer at their shop.

rasgal you are correct in what you are saying. I think its a bunch of crap that a reseller will sell you something that they know wont work because they know you have a 1.6b and the mod they are sending you has 3.0.1. They know its not going to work but they sell it to you anyway. That tells me they dont give a crap about there customers. Thats fine they may get that one sale but the sales they are going to lose are greater then that. I just wouldnt buy from them again or recommend them to anyone who ask. I know it is in no means xecuters fault but I also think they have a responsibility to talk with there Official resellers and make sure they flash the mod when asked!!! IS that to much to ask I guess it is in this case. I bring up the subject and get cused at pretty much accused of being stupid for even asking.

system-mods said they can't gurantee the current version of flashbios nor can they flash it themselves. Just so everyone knows.
They did say that probably the chips available for order right now come with the newest version, judging by this shipment.
I myself would try some other chip for right now, and probably throughout the holiday season until you can be sure its officially xbox 1.6b compatible out of the box. (But I ordered before I new what I was doing myself.)

Just Flashed my xbox
just like to know if its okay/or normal
i had to recover my gamertag(since it said it was corrupted in my hard drive)
but after i flashed it....there was a system update? is everything fine/normal?
i havent burn any games yet but i have been on xboxlive with no trouble
