did you rename the bios to bios.bin before you burn it to cd-rw
use a cd-rw or dvd-r cd do not work on some xboxs
Yes I changed it with Qwix and change it to bios.bin with dummy.bin. I used both DVD- and CD RW. I have tried almost every bios for 1.6 and they all do the same thing. The flubber comes up and you can play games no problem. The mod chip will not load bios. After loading and shuts down. It flashes on mod blue startup three times and red and green frag.

I have the exact problem too. I booted first time and got the 3.0.1 FlashBios. I then flashed the X3 16plus.bin and a 100mb dummy.bin to a DVD-R and flashed. It all seemed to work fine, but when I turned on it went on...click..off...on...click...off...on...frag.

I took it apart, and see that everything is soldered fine (had it done by an expert w/ some machine...I break whatever I solder). I had lots of people look at it too and nothing seems to be bad with the solder job.

Thoughts?
