I'd been checking and rechecking my soldering on pin 15 for ages and was still only getting the 3.3v light, the one time I didn't bother plugging in the pront panel it finally lit up properly but when I plug it back in only the 3.3v lights up.

Have I soldered everything right? Is the front panel faulty? It looks like the plugs are in snugly, the flashBIOS screen comes up and eveything looks ok when the front panel isn't plugged in.

I'm still using it and it works fine. Still no luck with the front panel. I'm gonna bump this once before I try and get a replacment.

I had somewhat of the same problem but i had my chip already flashed when i was playing with it and got your problem. My chip will not boot with the dipswtich panel plugged in even now. The problem is i bent the pins on the chip that plug the panel to the chip. Double check those and see if you've done the same. The problem is, is that they are so small its going to be hard to determine for sure.

Pins look fine, I can see them ok with a good light. There is a larger gap at one end, maybe a pin is missing?

Thanks for te advice, I'll give it all another check and then see about returning it. Hopefully I can just return the front panel.

Ok, there are no trapped wires, no bent pins, it must be soldered properly because it works when the panel isn't in.

If no-one has any other ideas I might buy one of the clever front panels, I don't think I can return it.

You might want to take a look at www.llamma.com They may have a replacment panel and wire for you. I would try that before spending the extra cash on the switch. Your problem is probably a bad switch or cable.

how long have you had the chip?
you could always send it back to the seller and get them to test it to see if it was indeed a bad chip.

I bought it from BaldBouncer on the 19th, I don't know if they'll take it back now that it's all soldered.

Well the only way to find out is by emailing them. Good luck there.

They have a support ticket system, so I used that.

I suppose I could take a trip to the electronics shop and see if I can replace the wires myself. I can make up my own cables, no too sure about my own pane l though..

Ahh, I just noticed that the front of the panel might be removable, I'll go look.

Thanks for all your help.

Black Ops Entertainment Policy

This was written by JD_2020,

Hey Black Ops Community

Treyarch is committed to providing all gamers with the best online experience possible, and that means maintaining the games integrity. We have a zero tolerance policy against exploitation, and this is to protect the many gamers who go online to compete and have legitimate fun. Below is a brief outline of our security and enforcement policy which will remain posted and will get updated here.

The team at Treyarch has worked very hard to create a fun, competitive online environment, and we want to keep this environment clean so that the game can be played as it was intended. Users who abuse the game through modding, boosting, glitching or making offensive emblems degrade the online experience for others, and we will take action to prevent this from happening.

Keep it clean. Play nice. Have fun.

Thanks
- Team Treyarch
