Xbox: 1.0
Install method: Pin-header, manually de-soldered LPC points
When powering up my freshly installed x3, I get a short red flash, then the blue X-sign on the X3 panel, fans, hdd and dvd start spinning. HDD LED does what it should do. No video at all, though.
Pressing the eject button doesn't eject - it resets the xbox (power down, 1 sec pause, power up). I cannot boot into backup BIOS either (although the purple LED lights up), and when trying to boot into MS bios, the console FRAGs.
Removing the chip, dis- and reconnecting the necessary cables and trying to boot into normal bios, the Xbox FRAGs.
Why me?
No, seriously, what's going wrong here? I don't think I wrecked my board trying to de-solder the LPC points (well, I did it by the book). d0 looks fine & solid to me, some of the LPC joints I shall re-solder, since I have read a lot about mis-soldered points here, but does anyone recognize the exact symptoms I experience and is able to help me?
Thanks a lot from someone who's wasting a perfectly sunny saturday afternoon soldering, while he could be out drinking and whoring...
