Updating 8955 to 9199 dashboard on modded xbox 360

Good day to all

i just bought my own modded xbox360 jasper with 8955 dashboard

since its modded it can't be use xboxlive to update

i just downloaded the 83mb 9199 update

is it ok / safe to Update it to 9199 dashboard?

wont it brick my xbox?

wont it ruin my modded console and put it back to unmodded?

its really a noob question, so expert people please do help me

you should really return the drive to stock before updating the dashboard

you misunderstood our friendly moderator

it is best to flash to stock for updates so as to not get banned

But to discard your other questions, no it will not brick the drive nor will it return it stock.
