x3 problem red light on switch panel

please can somebody help me, this is my first install
i get a red x on the switch panel, also have looked
at chip, and i have 2 blue led, i do not get any mention
of chip on the screen, i have put the panel on with the buttons
on,
any help please, it is my sons christmas present so i
am running out of time, i have chipped lots of ps2, so my soldering is
very good, any idea what i should look for

sorry for replying to my own post, i have tried eject button first, and
switch panel is blue, i must not be tapping power button fast enough,
sorry to waste your time.
i will now try the next step and do the bios thing, i might need help.
i am used to the ps2 where once chipped thats it.

well, the chip and switch panel are getting power and all your cable connections seem to be working.

check all your solder connections and make sure you're using enough. dont be scared to put a nice bead on each header pin and make sure your Rebuild points are all cleanly soldered...

I've got the same issue. The xbox boots with a red X when I press the power button. Pressing the eject button gives me a blue X and everything works. I'm able to flash the BIOS and install my dashboard. It just doesn't work when I use the power button. Anybody have any ideas????

[+c4eva] just a word of warning on the sed “disc swap” [note x-s: see our x360SED v1.0 news], although this passes the timing check, ap25 also returns data from its check which will be wrong with the wrong disk and will get you banned!

If you play any game before its release date on live, your simply asking to get banned.

From what I read, its fine to update the dash, but the problem is the new games coming with the ap2.5 checks which will get you flagged/banned. However, I haven't updated my dash yet, I'm just going to lie low till a new FW is released as I believe its the smartest thing to do.

The thing with this though is people are laying low and not updating their dash band waiting for the new firmware to be released but then still people might be banned even if they update too the new FW anyway.

Possibility of getting banned its just a matter of how long and THATS THE RISK PEOPLE TAKE DOING THIS!!!

Exactly....So basically, if you are waiting for the new firmware and not getting online, you have basically banned yourself.
