Hey

Problem #1

I got the X3 in my xbox about 4 weeks ago now and it was working great for about 2. The last 2 weeks it's been a pain in the ass, it's almost all the time goes into backup mode and will freeze it i try to go into games or XBMC. i tryed seting the switches on x3 to on on off off off and reflashing X 1959 and i changed from evlution X7 to avalaunch and deleted the bios evlutionX M7, EvoxM7, EvoxM7 ef that i don't need, that fix it for a day but now it's still going to backup.

Problem #2

I tryed to update my flashbios v3.00 to flashbios v3.03 didn't work. I switch on the Xbox in all 3 modes and hold the White button down to access X3CL and nothing happens. Is there a other way to update your flashbios to v3.03

Sorry i'm new at this

Thanks

Problem #1 and #2

If you can boot to FlashBIOS, then follow this:

http://www.teamxecuter.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=24789

Flash your chip with it (flash via CD).

You'll have FlashBIOS 3.0.3 and X3 1959 all in one.

Next time, read the stickys!!!!

BenQ not reading games.

I recently flashed my BenQ drive. I thought it was successful but now when I put a game in it gives me the "insert this disc in an xbox 360 console" message thing on some games and on others it just show a screen with "Xbox 360" on it and the DVD controls. I hope I am just missing something simple and haven't screwed it up. Anybody?

I'm pretty sure I read it first. Also, I believe I may have deleted the read by accident. Did that screw me?

Re: BenQ not reading games.

not necessarily!

pull up the jungleflasher log file that was created

that should have your key stored from your read

also the keydatabase automatically compiled by jungleflasher should have your key

One more reason why jungle flasher is the best tool around for flashing

Re: BenQ not reading games.

if he has the newest jf he will get the key.
Yeah I am really impressed by the key database they released. It was a really good idea. Also verifies your key which is also a cool addon, so you know if you got a good dump from the pesky liteons.

Re: BenQ not reading games.

JF wouldn't recognize my drive. I had to use DosFlash32...

Re: BenQ not reading games.

ah, you may be screwed then

re-dump your firmware off your drive and post for us to look at, hopefully you have a key in there

if not, you now have a $200 DVD player

Would it be OK if I pmed the link instead of just posting it? I don't know if there's anything sensitive in there but I don't want it just sitting on the forums for anyone to access.

Re: BenQ not reading games.

OK, here is the link to the firmware that I just read off the drive. If someone could take a look and see if it has the drive key I would be very appreciative.

Sorry mate, key is showing all 7s. So NO its not a good key.

Check your USB stick for any other firmwares on it, one of them might hold the key.

Re: BenQ not reading games.

Well, crap. That is the file I just read off the 360 using DosFlash32 v1.8. Is the firmware signed by MS as the discs are? (Could I change the firmware and have it be readable?)

Nope.

Have you any other firmware .bin files saved from previously or otherwise? one of them may hold your key!

Re: BenQ not reading games.

No, I had to reformat my harddrive so that is the only firmware file I have from my 360. So, I could change the firmware on my drive (create a new one and flash it over) and the drive would work? Obviously it wouldn't read games because of the key but would it read DVDs?
