X3 professonally installed on 1.6 wont boot 3294v16b

hey all I have a 1.6 that was modded for me after a botched attempt by a local pro modding shop, looked at the DO points just to be sure and the 3v 5v are all working

it boots to the 3.01 flashbios fine and it flashes fine.

my problem is that after flashing the box shuts down right away , I tried booting to both 1m banks same problem. The MS dash works fine and I have tried all cable combos , the 3 prony reg yellow white and s-video, a vga adapter etc etc

any ideas ?

It should shut down after its flashed.
what happens when you power it up again.
Tap pwr very quickly or power up by pressing eject....what happens??

yep it shuts down after its flashed, then when I try and boot to the bank I just flashed on on off off the blue led on my X3 control panel lights up for about two secconds and the screen flashes but then it shuts off immediatly , sometimes it tries to start like 3 times till it finally shuts off.

any ideas ?

check the soldering on pins 13 & 14.
This sounds like the i2c bus that the x3 bios uses is not connected properly.

Flashbios and indeed the x2 bios do not use this bus.
If you were to boot up flashbios and reflash an empty 256 bank with evox_m8 bios then i bet all would work ok.
You wouldn't get the x3 features but it would boot and play backups proving where the problem is.
