ok, i've searched for this but its not turned up. so...

Where are the settings/changes stored on the x3 chip. How can i back up this file?

I have the xecuter 1959 bios installed on the first 1mb flash of my X3 chip and have customised it heavily from the default (by that i mean changing settings, customising the flubber, etc).

I was trying to write a quick walkthrough of installing XBMC and decided to reset my bios so i could read off the default settings for the dashboard file names (edited mine) and figured the easiest way of getting a default bios would be to flash the second 1mb bank on the chip with the origional bios file. So I did.

On booting off the second bank (and i know it was, i had the Evo-X bios on there (g-d knows why) and when it booted the second bank had all of the settings i specified in the first. So...

Similar ?

Im not sure but I think my question is similar but has nothing to do with the answer given thus far. I have an X3 on 1.6 and am using the 1959 bios twice (banks 1-4) and again (banks 5-8) I thought this would allow me to use unique settings in each to provide one that boots to say XBMC and one that boots to AVA. However when I change the boot settings in one it changes both. So what is the purpose again on having more than 1 bios? and the pro switch is for what ? I couldnt find this specific question yet. I know that I can hold down a trigger and launch another app or dash but again why when I have a pro switch? I thought the 2 bios would be unique to each other but the settings are shared somehow. I would like to be able to launch 4 dif dash's and I believe this is possible but I cant seem to find the answer. i expected to have 2 bios one to boot to XBMC (hold trigger for AVA) one to boot to Evox (hold trigger for unleashX). Anyone tried this or have any idea ? If the settings are stored to a file could one maybe edit a bios to look at a slighly different named file then reflash ?
