I've searched everywhere and could find this..

the weirdest thing happens, sometimes my chip will randomly go out 9no light on external switch) and to get it back on I have to unplugg like the av or ethernet and plug it back in and it will come back on, I have checked my soldering, it is flawless, I think it might be an ssue with the 5v power or possibly the ground. its weird its like it will randomly go out and wont come back til I mess around with plugs, so I think something blocking it or something, I plugged my x3 to the alt 5v power supply, heres a pic of my set up this is when it does the power off thing.

chip not working

chip working fine

the grey wires are the switch and power to my jewel and window LEDs (case mod) this has nothing to do with the problem as I have disconnected all that and tried everything and it still has the same problem

and I have a 1.6, X3 pin header install, incase that makes a difference

nevermind

I resoldered it with wire install guess I had a wire that slipped off and on when the board/box was moved around, thanks anyway

I had this problem when I was doing the pin header and what I figured was to get all the lights to light up you just push alittle bit down on the side of the modchip that can be pushed down to make a slant. Then all the lights turned on because for some reason when the modchip was seated properly it wouldn't touch all the pins on the pin header.

I had something like that happen to me when I first installed the chip, but i poked the chip with my finger and it worked. The problem never happened again. Maby its a design flaw? Or it could be that I messed up my soldering a little, one pin is a little lower than the others. I guess that is one small advantage of wire install.
