X3 Stopped working

I installed my X3 and Pro switch with no trouble and i has been working fine, I noticed a slight problem last week when the xbox didnt play avi files that it once did. I put this down to damaged disk.

Today i switched on my xbox and it booted up and showed the X3 logo then crashed with writing accros the screen saying X3 chip not detected. I switched of and tried a reboot but it only boots to MS dash now and there is no lights on Pro switch.

I have checked all soldering and pins which all look fine. I have even disconected the switch from the chip to see if that makes any differance but the xbox still only boots to MS dash.

Any help appreciated as i am lost without my chip, my xbox no longer rocks !!!

Have you tried booting to the Backup BIOS for the x3?

I cant boot to anything except MS dash the chip is not being recognised anymore.

As stated in the Orig message i have checked all soldering and pins.

mine did this the other day, but I rebooted and it was fine. Been fine since then.

What version do you have? I have a 1.0

I have a Crystal 1.6b and have tried rebooting numerous times to no avail.
