Ok, First off had the pin header wire install. chip was fragging. I had one of my co-workers soder my chip in 4 me. Well when that didnt work he insead used the 1.6 rebuild pbc. The soldering looks to be holding strong. Well its still fragging. First thing I want to know is I have evething connected DVD, Hard drive. Is that all I need to have connected? Does there have to be a controller connected? Connected to the tv? Does the flash protect on the chip have to be in a certain position? He said he checked for continuaty and shorts, damaged runs all of it and said it was good? Does ANYONE have an idea?????

Well, the first thing I would have done is to go over all the pins with a multimeter. This tutorial shows you how. The tutorial covers models 1.0-1.5, but the only difference on a 1.6 is that pin 1 (LCLK) has a voltage of 1.6 instead of 0.2V. Good luck.

Oh, by the way, you don't need to have the hard drive and DVD ROM hooked up when testing. Just take the chip off the pin header and turn on the box. Then test the pins with the multimeter.

I assumed you didnt so I havent been connecting them. I just got a hold of a multimeter so I am going to measure the voltages and see what I get
