someone needs to start pointing out that slayers is bad (for x3 users).

its not BAD, but its 100% unnecessary and a waste of resources.

Lite On 74850c

Ok so I am having problems with a lite-on 74850c. I am doing the MRA hack and I am not using a connectivity kit. The guy had someone do it before and failed so I retried and I couldnt get it to connect. I tried a 22ohm 1/2w resistor and a 18ohm 1/4w resistor and nothing but i decided to put it all back together. The traces were in pretty bad shape but i tried anyways. I got as far as the xbox will come on and come to the dash board but the light just blinks and will not do anything. I have tried the traces over and over again and nothing. I never did try the intro or erase so I dont think it is that but idk. Any help would be great. If the drive is bad what can I do to fix the xbox?

I dont think these traces can be fixed. Its the one on the upper part that is the problem, the one u kinda gotta cut twice to do it around the circle. thats the one. they have that little hole dug out but i cant find a thing of metal that i can soder to or anything to make it work. The other trade is the same way but i manage to get it connected. its pretty bad, someone was a dumbass. any solutions to that.

there are alternate solder points on the board, for example, you can lift pins of the flash chip and connect directly to them

i'd do a quick google search for alternate solder points
