I have an XBOX v1.6b with X3 gen 4 mod chip. I was running 2914 bios for about 2-3 months and haven't had any problems. This morning I decided to upgrade to BIOS version 3108. I set dip switches (standard interface, not pro) 1 & 2 to the on position and flashed via HTTP to 3108. Everything went normally. Now upon rebooting it turns on for 2 seconds, off, back on for 2 seconds, off, then on again and FRAGs. I tried reflashing 3108 in both 1MB banks via HTTP and DISC and get the same results. So then I tried reverting back to 2914 via HTTP & DISC, in both 1MB banks and I still get the same results. I started reading through the forums and decided to try to flash back to 1957 BIOS, only to get the SAME RESULTS. Does anybody have any clue as to what is going on or what happened? The only thing I can get into is my backup BIOS.

I have read that there are ways to erase the eeprom, but it must be done from live config. Is live config the standard microsoft setup control panel? I am not sure what live config is to get into it to erase the eeprom.

Any suggestions would be great, as I was going to have many people over tonight to hangout and game. You can also e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any suggestions. THANKS!
