ok. i have x3 and xbox v1.0. i used the pin header and soldered it in. everythin was connected properly, but i have frag. on the motherboard, the holes were already soldered, but i took out the solder and put in the pin head. im wondering if i should have put in the wire install adapter instead of the pin header. please respond.

i would have suggested the wires, but now that the solder is out, dont go back. Make sure all ur pon headers are connected correctly.

What do you mean by "pon" headers, do you mean are the pins properly
soldered?
I checked with a 10x magnification loop and the solder joints look good,
and I attempted
to clean off any excess flux.

Shouldn't My Backup ISO Be Over 7GB?

I am attempting the Hotswap method and my ISO is only 256MB after running WXRipper. Is there something I could be doing wrong? I am using Titanic and it shows up fine in WXRipper (Version 1.2.0.42), followed the steps of many tutorials (Finding Magic Number, Saving Layout File, Replacing the 3rd C with a "D", etc). Is there a common problem I am experiencing? Sorry, if this has been asked before. Like others here, I checked the FAQ and did search the forum for this as well. Please help.

7.2gb everytime everygame, used to hot swap but its not worth the extra time and headaches. GO TO VGC REPAIRS and order and 0800 drive for $60 its worth it! Rips take 12 min instead of 45 plus errors and rerips.

Just when ur flashin ur xbox. Flash ur drive with 0800 firmware and you can than connect it to pc and use it as a kreon drive although its better cuz u get better ssv2 files when ripping with a 0800 drive. and than after ur done flash ur custom firmware back to ur drive and enjoy playing.

Re: Shouldn't My Backup ISO Be Over 7GB?

Okay, I was thinking of either buying another 360 drive and flashing it. Or I could open up the other 360 (RROD) that I haven't fixed, yet and use it for the backups. Anyone know of a decent (no B.S.) tutorial for flashing a Benq? I don't yet know what the other 360 drive is (still need to open it up). I was going to buy another Benq as it is supposed to be easiest to flash.
